Respiratory Physiotherapy Ireland (RPI) is Ireland’s first exclusive private practice respiratory physiotherapy service. We are a specialized team of Chartered Physiotherapists that are specifically trained in treatment and techniques that can help with problems associated with heart and lung conditions such as asthma, brochiectasis, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, recurrent chest infections, cystic fibrosis, COPD, emphysema, bronchitis and heart/lung surgery.
The aim of our Chartered Physiotherapists is to help you to manage your heart/lung condition to the best of your ability within your lifestyle.
We are enthusiastic and energetic and enjoy providing the best possible service to all our patients. We achieve our high quality standards and up-to-date evidence based practice by continuously engaging in professional development courses and national and international respiratory conferences to ensure best results for all our patients.
Here at Respiratory Physiotherapy Ireland, this specialised service is led by our Senior respiratory physiotherapist, Ciara McDonnell who has a wealth of experience and expertise in acute and chronic respiratory care. Ciara has worked in highly specialised respiratory services including post heart and lung transplants, post cardiothoracic surgery, respiratory care in the acute National Spinal Unit and critical care complexes, paediatric and adult cystic fibrosis and general medical and surgical respiratory care.
Our patients can attend for chest physiotherapy and advice without a GP or consultant referral, however if and when appropriate, your Chartered Physiotherapist will liaise with your doctor, hospital consultant or other health care professional.
At Respiratory Physiotherapy Ireland, our respiratory physiotherapy service is available for everyone, so if you have a condition that you need help with please contact us to discuss your options.
